The sponge which our system uses is made from a synthetic material PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) which contains a tree-dimensional structure of open cells inter-connected to one another, similar to a natural sea sponge which gives the sponge a capacity for absorption and water retention superior to any other sponge.
